Getting started
Do I need a card to try Tally?
No. Snap your first ten receipts completely free — no card, no trial countdown. Add a plan only when you're ready to keep going.
Which devices does Tally work on?
Tally runs on iPhone and Android, and you can also use it in any modern web browser on your laptop. Your data syncs across all of them.
Can I import past receipts?
Yes. Upload PDFs or photos in bulk, or forward old emailed receipts to your personal Tally inbox and they'll be sorted automatically.

How accurate is receipt reading?
Tally reads the merchant, amount, date and tax on the vast majority of receipts instantly. Anything it's unsure about is flagged for a quick one-tap confirmation.
How does mileage tracking work?
With trip logging on, Tally records drives in the background. You tap to mark which were for business, and it converts them to deductible miles at the current IRS rate.
Does scanning drain my battery?
No. Receipt reading happens only when you snap a photo, and background mileage uses low-power location so day-to-day impact is minimal.

Can I switch or cancel my plan?
